One Small Thing

Privacy Policy

Effective 5 September 2026

One Small Thing ("the app") collects no personal data.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no account system and nothing to sign up for. It embeds no analytics, attribution or advertising SDK, and it uploads nothing to any server. It has no server to upload to.

Where your data lives

Everything you generate in the app — what you have done, what you have saved, your late-night wind-down notes, your settings — is stored only in a database on your own device. You can export it as a JSON file, or erase all of it, at any time under Settings → Data. Deleting the app deletes all of it permanently, and we cannot recover it for you, because we never had it.

Notifications

If you turn reminders on, they are local notifications scheduled by iOS on your device. No server is involved. You can turn them off in the app or in iOS Settings at any time.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party data-collection components and shares no data with anyone, because there is no data to share. Our privacy manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types.

Purchases

The app offers a single one-time purchase that unlocks the full content library. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store: we never see, receive or store your payment details or your Apple ID. The app only asks the operating system whether this Apple ID owns the unlock, and that question never passes through a server of ours — we do not have one.

Children

The App Store rates the app 12+, and it is not directed at children under 13. We could not collect anything from them in any case: we collect no data at all, knowingly or unknowingly, from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data — under the GDPR, the CCPA, or any comparable law — apply to data a company holds about you. We hold none. Export and deletion are nonetheless built into the app itself, under Settings → Data, and need no request to us.

Changes to this policy

If this ever changes — for example if we add an optional feature that needs a network connection — we will update this page and say so inside the app.
